In this painting, Lord Jagannath, an incarnation of Lord Krishna, is seen with his older brother Balabhadra (Balram) and sister Subhadra, as in the Puri temple. The artist has made the attire or shringar of the deities as Hathi or Gaja Besha, wherein Lord Jagannath takes the form of Lord Ganesh. Lord Jagannath and Lord Balbhadra are both adorned with an elephant attire once every year after the Snana Poornima ritual in the temple.
